Gary Clark Jr. - Bright Lights
40 plays

The most turned on I’ve been by music in quite some time came this afternoon when Gary Clark, Jr.’s song ”Bright Lights” ruptured through my speakers from LA’s KCRW 89.9. Imagine a fusion of rock n’ roll, blues, funk, and soul. Think the jams of The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix style guitar, meets The Black Keys.

He’s managed by Sheryl Crow’s team, set to tour with Eric Clapton, and considered an Austin legend. Believe it or not, the Mayor of Austin named May 3, 2001 “Gary Clark Jr. Day” (he was only 17).
